Hello, my name is Ava LaValley. I am excited to be the 2019 Cle Elum Roundup Jr. Queen. I live in Ellensburg, Washington and I attend Ellensburg High School, where I play basketball and am a member of the varsity cheer squad. I was recently nominated by my peers to be a founding member of the EHS Hope Squad, a school based peer to peer suicide prevention program.
As a 4H and FFA member I have been showing lambs & steers at the Kittitas County Fair for 5 years. In 2018 I was the Reserve Champion Intermediate Showman in both steers and lambs.
I have two horses which I love with all my heart! Classy is my little palomino paint, she was my first horse and holds a special place in my heart. My second horse, Whiskey, is a big flea bitten grey that is a fast mover. Although I haven't had long with him, he is just a big sweetheart.
As the 2019 Cle Elum Roundup Jr. Queen, I hope to inform people about the sport of rodeo, along with encouraging more young women to compete for a queen titles and to also participate in rodeo, community service and becoming involved in their communities.
